About the event

The Rt Hon Stephen McPartland will discuss the findings of his review into Cyber Security and ambition to change the narrative on cyber security and highlight how it can support productivity, competitiveness, innovation, and leadership on the global stage. The importance of developing cyber secure supply chains as the bedrock of economic resilience and potential to build a strategic advantage in developing innovative cyber products, services, and standards.

A comprehensive cyber security strategy which embeds resilience and recovery into our digitised economy is essential for any Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy to be successful. AI offers huge opportunities for digital transformation across all sectors of our economy, but it requires effective cyber awareness and cyber security to mitigate risk in unleashing the real benefits of an AI powered digital economy.

Finally, Stephen will be exploring the role of ransomware and cyber criminals in exploiting the vulnerable and potential mitigation.
